WE LOVE BEGINNERS!

We all were a beginner at one time. At Evolve, we do everything we can to make your first class experience positive.  All you have to do is show up and breathe.  We are not concerned with a perfect pose.  You don’t have to be flexible, in “great shape,” or have the right clothes. Everyone is welcome and we believe everyone who attends will benefit.

Here are some of the ways we help make your first class enjoyable:

  • Basic instruction before class: Although it’s not necessary, beginners are always welcome to arrive 15 minutes prior to class time for a check-in with the teacher who will answer questions and go over safe alignment.

  • Equipment:  Please bring your own equipment. Mats are available for rent, and towels & water bottles for purchase in the studio.

  • Trained instructors:  Our instructors know how to include beginners into every class and will keep a watchful eye on your practice.

  • Electrolytes: with your water is very helpful in the heated environment.

You don’t have to get this “right.”  Allow yourself to ease in and do only what you can.  It is not only okay, but encouraged to skip certain parts of the sequence if needed.

  1. How often should I practice?

The more often you practice the faster and greater the results.  It is suggested to start with 2-3 classes per week and see how you feel.

  2. What do I wear?

Be comfortable. Wear something you can move, stretch and sweat in. Consider a top that will stay put. Classes are heated so dressing lightly in synthetics is encouraged since 100% cotton will become heavy with sweat.

  3. What do I bring?

Classes require a mat, a towel and water. Mats are available for rent, and towels & water bottles for purchase in the studio.

  4. How hot will class be?

The room is heated up to 95 - 98 degrees with up to 70% humidity. The heat/steam combination is just right for a good sweat without being overwhelming.
